When they coined the phrase “a romantic isle” they must have had the south coast of Sri Lanka in mind. Where the sea breeze whispers gently in your ear, and the sun’s warmth kisses your skin, this is a place where an endless romance begins…
Day 1:
Arrive in Colombo. A special transfer arranged by OTP adds a touch of romance to the drive. Arrive in Thalpe and at Owl and the Pussycat Hotel. Check in to your beautiful suite, with it’s stunning views over the Indian Ocean and secluded, private balcony.
Relax and unwind. Have a light bite of lunch by the pool and soak in the sun. Enjoy a soothing massage to decompress after the drive.
Take a stroll along the beach.
This evening enjoy an OTP signature cocktail as the sun sets. Dine on a spectacular feast of freshly caught seafood, lightly cooked to perfection.
Day 2:
Enjoy a round of early morning yoga or simply sleep in and enjoy the sumptuousness of your bed.
A cup of Ceylon tea or coffee on your private balcony overlooking the ocean is a slow and languid wake up.
A healthy and nutritious breakfast leaves you satiated. Enjoy the morning by the pool or step out and visit the fortified city of Galle or the tea and cinnamon plantations at Koggale.
A light lunch at Botanik (don’t miss our Sri Lankan thali!) followed by a relaxing dip in the pool.
This evening take a gorgeous bicycle ride through the paddy fields. As dusk starts to fall, return to our jasmine scented tropical garden for yet another spectacular sunset.
This evening, enjoy an absolutely spectacular private dinner, with a special menu, a couple of glasses of bubbly and wine, lit by candles underneath the stars.
Day 3:
A leisurely wake up followed by a delicious breakfast.
Later this morning you will be transferred a short distance away to a secluded, private beach area on the south coast. A special picnic hamper has been prepared for you by the team at OTP. Enjoy a day in each other’s company.
Late afternoon return to Owl and the Pussycat and unwind (another massage if you like?)
Enjoy a bite of antipasti and a cocktail in the Edward Lear Drawing Room.
Enjoy a relaxed dinner at Botanik of ethnic Sri Lankan specialties with a contemporary twist!
Day 4:
Wake up and enjoy a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Maybe a final dip in the pool before you pack up and check out. Transfer back to Colombo for your journey home.
